Resveratrol is one of a polyphenolic compound called stilbenes, and is found in grape skin, red wine and berries such as blueberries, bilberries, and cranberries and Japanese knotweed, an Asian perennial plant. Resveratrol is found in two primary isomers, cis- and trans-. Resveratrol has been the subject of many studies regarding health benefits including antioxidant activity which supports healthy gene expression and cardiovascular support through support of vascular integrity.‡
The trans-isomer (trans-resveratrol) is the preferred version as it has been found to have the greater biological activity of the two isomers. ‡
Trans-Resveratrol with Quercetin also includes quercetin . Quercetin is a flavonoid that has been shown to provide cardiovascular support, support for healthy inflammation levels, support for healthy histamine response, and support for respiratory health.‡
Our ResVinol® Natural Resveratrol provides the synergy of two powerful ingredients: natural resveratrol (standardized to the most biologically active trans-isomer), and red wine polyphenols. ResVinol® is standardized to contain 20% polyphenols and 25% trans-Resveratrol.
