SmartCuffs facilitates blood flow restriction training (BFRT), which safely restricts venous blood flow from a working muscle but allows arterial blood flow to that working muscle. BFR is instrumental in allowing patients to begin post-surgical rehab sooner than previously done. This single cuff features a research-backed and ever-popular single chambered bladder design with a bolstered valve connection for improved durability. The cuff is 4" wide for safety as lower pressures are required to achieve LOP. Beyond rehab patients, SmartCuffs are also beneficial to those who are Immobile or mobility-restricted, bed ridden, casted, the elderly, athletes in active recovery and those suffering from decreased joint/tissue loads. The cuff is size medium and can fit arms and legs with a circumference of 17.5" to 23". You can measure the circumference of the space between your shoulder and bicep. Measuring your leg requires you to measure the circumference of your thigh closest to your hip. SmartCuffs are made in the USA, easy to clean and FDA listed as a Class 1 Pneumatic Tourniquet.
