MSM – methylsulfonylmethane – is the oxidized form of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), an organic-sulfur compound. MSM naturally occurs in some green vegetables and other foods and in the human body, in many animals, and in milk. It’s also found in phytoplankton which live in the oceans.
Many benefits are attributed to MSM due to its biologically active sulfur, which is needed for many different critical bodily functions every single day. Studies have shown that supplementation with MSM can support healthy joints and related connective tissues, support healthy levels of inflammation, support the immune system, and support healthy skin.‡
